🔺 Showtime. All year, it’s built up to this moment.

Today, in Fayetteville, the Bears begin their four-day battle at NCAA West First Round Prelims with 2️⃣3️⃣ competitors set to take the track and field in search of a spot at NCAA Championships next month in Eugene, Ore.

🔺 Welcome Fam. After another trip to the NCAA Regionals, the Baylor women’s tennis program is already reloading for another run next spring.

This week, head coach Joey Scrivano announced the addition of Texas Tech transfer Cristina Tiglea to the program next year.

A native of Milan, Italy, Tiglea has been one of the nation's top players in 2023-24 and is currently sitting at No. 55 in the ITA singles rankings. Over her three seasons in Lubbock, Tiglea has posted 50 singles wins and combined for 62 doubles wins. She has played exclusively at the No. 1 spot in the lineup as a junior in 2024.

During her season, which just concluded in the NCAA Individual Championships in Stillwater, Okla., Tiglea has gone 19-9 in singles, including a 7-2 mark in Big 12 play. In doubles, she has posted a 24-9 record, including an 18-6 mark in dual-match play and a 10-2 record in Big 12 competition.

🔺 Staying Super. All week long, we’re focused on Gainesville. All week long, we’re feeling Super.

All season long, it was about the team.

This past weekend, that was on full display as the Bears punched their ticket to Super Regionals and a date with #4 Florida.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: SYDNEY COLLAZOS

On today’s episode we get to know Baylor Softball’s Sydney Collazos, a fifth senior from Georgetown, Texas.

From the time she stepped on campus in 2021, Sydney has been an important part of Coach Moore’s lineups, both on the diamond, and in the dugout as an extrovert and a leader.

Now, in her final year in the green and gold, Sydney has embraced every moment with her team, and is looking forward to pursuing a career in the medical field when her time at Baylor is done.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Four.

The Bears toppled four program records in the outdoor season entering the NCAA Regional Meet. Alexis Brown (22-5, long jump) and Nathaniel Ezekiel (48.00, 400-meter hurdles) each won Big 12 Outdoor Championships on their home track with program-best marks, while the men's 4x100-meter relay of Ricquan Graham, Laurenz Colbert, Kamden Jackson and De'montray Callis went 38.86 for the conference silver medal.

In Ghana, Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi took the African Games title with a 271-8, a mark that doesn't count toward collegiate marks, but gives him the program-record mark once again.
