🎙 INSIDE BAYLOR SPORTS

April 19th Edition:
Plotting The Course

On today’s show we’re talking Baylor golf
as the men & women head to another NCAA Tournament.

Plus, we talk NFL Draft and predict where
Gabe Hall could potentially land.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Just getting started. One down, two to go.

The top-ranked Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team extended its hunt for their ninth straight national championship on Thursday night, taking down eighth-seeded Fairmont State, 271.170 to 256.070, in the Quarterfinals of the 2024 NCATA National Championship.

The Bears (9-0) beat the Falcons (7-3) by 15.1 points for the win, not dropping a single heat.

🔺 Battling The Best. No better way to test yourselves than against the best.

The Baylor men’s hoops team will do just that this December when it takes on the two-time defending national champs UConn in the Big 12/Big East Battle, scheduled for December 4.

Game times and network assignments will be announced at a later date. The meeting will mark the first between these two programs since 1965, a 96-88 UCONN win in Waco.

The Huskies are coming off a second-straight national championship, while the Bears are coming off a fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. BU is the only team in the nation to be a No. 3 seed or higher in the last four NCAA tournaments, and one of just four teams in the nation to win at least one game in each of the last five tournaments.

🔺 Sweet Sweepin’. On Thursday in Provo, the Bears got offensive.

The BU softball squad pounded out 23 hits en route to a HUGE series opening doubleheader sweep of BYU with wins of 8-7 and 12-9.

Aliyah Binford continued to be the Bears’ version of Shohei Ohtani, going 6-for-8 on the day as a hitter, while also tossing a complete game to pick up the win in the circle.

As a team, BU blasted four HRs in the two games, including Prelseigh Pilon picking up her first career longball.

🎥 BAYLOR+: THE SITDOWN

It’s been less than a month since the end of the 2023-24
college hoops season, but it’s been quite a busy offseason
for head coach Scott Drew.

This week, Baylor+ got the exclusive interview that
all Baylor and college hoops fans wanted. Get the inside scoop
about Coach Drew’s decision to stay and so much more.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: FELICIA MULKEY

On this week’s episode we’re joined by Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling’s Head Coach Felecia Mulkey.

A transcendent leader on the forefront of the growing sport of A&T, Coach Mulkey has won all 12 of the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association championships offered, and has only lost 4 matches in 13 seasons.

Now, after another undefeated regular season for her team, her and the Bears are looking to capture Baylor’s 9th straight title.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
