🔼 Immaculate Vibes. With two of the country’s best volleyball programs visiting Waco, the Baylor faithful SHOWED OUT!
Back-to-back nights of incredible energy at the Ferrell Center helped push the 23rd-ranked Bears to five set battles with both #18 Minnesota and #6 Wisconsin. BU earned a 3-2 victory over the Gophers on Friday and dropped a tough 3-2 decision to the Badgers on Saturday.
Senior Elise McGhee led the attack with 33 kills in the two matches, including 18 in the victory over Minnesota. Newcomer Jackie Barrett Frazier had a monster weekend with two double-doubles and racked up 65 assists and 41 digs.
🔼 Never Say Die. Taking on a top-15 opponent on the road is never easy.
That opponent getting off to a 23-0 lead makes it even more challenging.
But one things for sure, the Baylor football squad wasn’t going to roll over as the Bears fought their way back against #12 Utah, taking them to the wire before dropping a tough 23-12 contest to the Utes.
Keaton Thomas (12 tackles) and Matt Jones (10 tackles) led the defensive effort that held Utah to under 300 total yards on the day and pitched a shutout in the second half.
🔼 Quack Quack. This summer, Nuni Omot continued to show the world his talents on the basketball court.
Playing for his home country of South Sudan at the 2024 Olympics, Omot averaged 16.7 points, 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game to lead the upstart squad.
Now, he’s headed back to the Chinese Basketball Association, signing with the Beijing Ducks late last week. Last season, he starred for the Ningbo Rockets, averaging 25.1 points and shot 52-percent from the field.

🎥 BAYLOR+: THE MIRACLE
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of one of the most inspiring underdog stories in college football history, Baylor+ announced today the upcoming premiere of a new original documentary, The Miracle on the Brazos.
The film tells the complete story of the 1974 Baylor Bears football team under legendary head coach Grant Teaff, who defied all odds to capture their first undisputed conference title in 50 years.
Predicted to finish last in the Southwest Conference, Baylor dropped its first two games of the 1974 season before the Bears won 8 of their next 9 – including the iconic comeback victory against Texas – en route to an appearance in the Cotton Bowl.
