Double-Doubles From Fontleroy, Walker Lead Bears Past #23 Utah For Fourth Straight Win

Good Morning Baylor Fam. It kinda seemed like Bella Fontleroy and Jada Walker were playing Connect Four with the stat sheet on Tuesday night at Foster Pavilion.
The duo put together enough numbers to connect four for the Bears and secure a big time home victory.

🏀 MORE THAN A GAME
The Baylor women's basketball team will play in the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic at the Prudential Center against the UCLA Bruins on January 20.
The Coretta Scott King Classic was formed to honor the legacy of Mrs. King and celebrate female empowerment in sports. Check out what Baylor Senior Center Aaronette Vonleh has to say about the importance of playing in this inaugural event.

🔼 Connect Four. Playing their third game in seven days, the Baylor women’s hoops team didn’t show any sign of fatigue as they rolled to a fourth straight victory, taking down #23 Utah, 70-61, on Tuesday night.
Bella Fontleroy had a huge game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, a career-high five steals, along with two blocks. Her teammate Jada Walker joined in the double-double party with 12 points and a career-high 12 assists for the Bears.
Baylor trailed for only a total of 28 seconds for the entire game against the Utes.
Colorado transfer Aaronette Vonleh scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the first half, while Yaya Felder scored 11 points in her first start of the season.

🔼 Country’s Finest. It was quite a season on the gridiron for Baylor’s Bryson Washington.
Know what the best part is? He’s a Bear for three more years!
This week, Washington added to his pile of accomplishments when he earned Freshman All-American status from the Football Writers Association of America.
A native of Franklin, Texas, Washington was one of two tailbacks listed on the FWAA Freshman All-America team and one of 14 offensive players. A 6-foot, 203-pound redshirt freshman, Washington set the Baylor freshman record with 1,028 rushing yards, on 175 carries, while scoring 12 rushing TDs. He also caught 22 balls for 217 yards and a score.
