š¼ Diamond Dandies. While more winter weather may be headed towards Waco, donāt worry, the Bears are about to heat things up on the diamond.
Both the softball and baseball programs have high expectations heading into the 2025 campaign and leading the way are two veterans who earned individual recognition this week.
Earlier this week, D1Softball named Turiya Coleman, a grad transfer from Houston, as the sixth-best catcher in the country. On Wednesday, Perfect Game listed senior outfielder Enzo Apodaca as the #56 best senior in the country.

š¼ Fast Start. Now thatās how you start a season!
In his first matches of his sophomore season, Devin Badenhorst blew past his competition to help the Baylor menās tennis team to back-to-back season-opening wins on Sunday.
After going 2-0 in doubles and 1-0 in singles, Badenhorst was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, marking the first time in his young career that heās collected the honor.

š¼ Speaking of Fast Starts... This was LITERALLY a fast start!
Grad student Demar Francis started his final season with the Bears in style, picking up his second-career Big 12 Menās Athlete of the Week accolade.
The grad student began the 2025 indoor season with a time of 20.93 in the men's 200m, taking home gold. The 20.93 mark ranks 1st in the Big 12, 2nd in the NCAA and 4th in the World in 2025.
š MORE THAN A GAME
The Baylor women's basketball team will play in the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic at the Prudential Center against the UCLA Bruins on January 20.
