There’s no place like home.

For former National Champion and nine-time Big 12 title winner, Aaliyah Miller,
that home is in Waco as the former Bear is now back with BU in
a little bit of a different capacity.

Earlier this month, head coach Michael Ford announced the addition of Miller to his coaching staff for the 2025 season. This week, she sat down as a guest of the Sic ‘Em Pod to talk about her career and her new role with the Bears.

🔼 A Waco Weekend. Today starts a JAM-PACKED weekend in Waco that includes five different Baylor programs in action over the course of EIGHT different home events.

The action kicks off today with both tennis squads hitting the courts at Hurd Tennis Center beginning with the women battling Nebraska at 12 pm and the men following at 6 pm against San Diego.

On Saturday, the equestrian program opens up its spring 2025 season with a visit from South Dakota State (10:30 am), while the men’s hoops team welcomes 11th-ranked Kansas for a critical Big 12 showdown at Foster at 3 pm.

Sunday is has a triple header of tennis action at Hurd at 12, 2 and 5, while women’s basketball hosts Cincinnati at 2 pm at Foster.

🔼 Among the Elite. For the second straight season, Baylor alum Ross Matiscik finds himself among the NFL’s best for the weekend ahead.

The former Bear earned his second straight Pro Bowl nod and is taking part in the Pro Bowl games in Orlando, Florida throughout the weekend.

🔼 Shrine On. The dream is coming closer and closer.

Last night, former Baylor stars Matt Jones and Garmon Randolph made their second appearance in a post-season game, both playing in the annual East-West Shrine game last night in Arlington.

The duo also played in the Hula Bowl earlier this month, along with teammates Lorando Johnson, Steve Linton and Treven Ma'ae.

🎥 BAYLOR+: JANA ON THE MIC

This is not the season that Jana Van Gytenbeek had envisioned
for herself, but the Colorado native is making the most of
her opportunities despite being sidelined by a season-long injury.

During a recent road trip, the Baylor women’s hoops star had a different perspective for the game as she put on the headset and joined Derek Smith as the color analyst.

Go behind-the-scenes of her first time on the mic.

🎥 BACKING THE BEARS

During his four seasons with the Bears, Isaiah Hankins made nearly 50
field goals and over 130 PATs. He made game-winning kicks and was a part of countless big victories for the Baylor football program.

But when he’s done his work on the gridiron, his responsibilities shift to diaper
duty as Hankins and his wife have a newborn at home, a part of Hankins’ life that is made easier thanks to his partnership with GXG Elite and the support of their donors.

Learn more about what GXG has meant to Isaiah, his family and
his faith during his time in Waco.
