🔼 Thrice As Nice. Expectations are once again high for the Baylor basketball squad in one of the country’s best conferences.
On Thursday, three members of the squad earned preseason praise.
V.J. Edgecombe and Jeremy Roach headlined Thursday's Preseason All-Big 12 awards. Edgecombe was tabbed the Freshman of the Year, while Roach was named the co-Newcomer of the Year, joining his teammate Norchad Omier on the All-Big 12 Second Team.
🔼 Oh What A Night. It’s tough to find a better way to celebrate your seniors than a big time victory.
The Baylor futbol squad did just that with a decisive 4-0 Big 12 victory over visiting Arizona State on a night where the Bears honored their seven seniors.
After taking an early lead on an own goal, senior Ashley Merrill got into the scoring column off a pass from Callie Conrad to send BU into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Less than four minutes into the second half, Hannah Augustyn sent a beauty into the back of the net off an assist from Tyler Isgrig, and Conrad wrapped up the scoring with a goal of her own in the final five minutes of the contest.
With just four more Big 12 games on the docket, the three points from the win are crucial as BU aims to earn a spot in the upcoming conference tourney.
