🎥 LIFE AND FOOTBALL

🔼 Light 'Em Up. Baylor announced a drone show featuring up to 1,200 drones, including pyrotechnic drones, for Saturday’s Revivalry matchup against TCU. The entertainment includes a display between the third and fourth quarters and a postgame show. Wear black for Blackout on the Brazos!
🔼 Three Takeaways. Head coach Dave Aranda met with media yesterday to discuss the bye week and look ahead to this weekend’s game against TCU. Here are Jerry Hill’s three takeaways:
Slug Is No Slug: Defensive tackle Traevon “Slug” Mitchell, a transfer from South Florida, has been a standout performer this season, showcasing his explosiveness and athleticism in recent games.
What’s The Formula: The Bears’ explosive run game, highlighted by long touchdown runs, has been attributed to correct identification and communication among the offensive line.
Tell Me Why: Coach Aranda was a defensive graduate assistant at Texas Tech from 2000 to 2002. He fondly remembers the lively atmosphere in Sonny Dykes’ office, where Dykes and Dave Nichol would sing Backstreet Boys songs.
🔼 More Than Medals. For Trayvon Bromell, Baylor was more than a place to run track. Growing up in a challenging environment in St. Petersburg, Florida, Bromell saw few paths toward a different future until coach Michael Ford gave him an opportunity. That scholarship opened the door to two NCAA championships, an international sprinting career, and a life he once struggled to imagine. Now, the former Baylor standout is returning to Waco as a member of the 2026 Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame, bringing his remarkable journey full circle.
