🔼 He’s The Man. Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson has been named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year award, recognizing leadership, courage, integrity, and sportsmanship. Robertson leads the nation in passing yards and touchdowns, and is actively involved in his community and Christian mission at Baylor. The award winner will receive a $10,000 contribution to their school’s athletic scholarship fund.

🔼 Three Takeaways. Director of Sports Journalism Jerry Hill gives his three takeaways from this week’s press conference with head coach Dave Aranda:

  1. Sawyer For Heisman: Coach Aranda said there are similarities between Sawyer Robertson and 2019 Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow. He believes that his quarterback will continue to shine and could be in the Heisman conversation.

  2. The Guys Are Hungry: Coach Aranda believes the team is hungry and eager to improve, similar to last year’s six-game winning streak after the bye week.

  3. Scouting TCU: TCU’s offense is explosive, led by quarterback Josh Hoover and receivers who can make big plays. Defensively, they apply pressure with a game plan that challenges running the ball.

🔼  TV Time. Baylor men’s basketball announced its 2025-26 television schedule, with all games airing on national or regional networks. The Bears will play 17 regular-season games on ESPN networks, seven on CBS networks, three on Fox networks, and one on TNT.

🔼 Rockin’ Rookie. Baylor volleyball’s Ksenia Rakhmanchik has been named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week! She dominated on the road over the weekend, averaging 4.50 kills per set and hitting .218 across six sets against No. 8 Arizona State and Arizona. She totaled 27 kills and 28 points along with seven digs and two blocks.

The Bears will host Kansas State tonight at 7 p.m.
