On today's episode we're taking a look back at past Baylor football teams
who found themselves in similar situations as this year's team,
and figuring out what they need to accomplish after the bye week.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Westward Bound. For the third time in the past four weeks, the Baylor football squad is back on the road.

This time, the Bears are headed west as they travel to Lubbock to take on a red-hot Texas Tech squad that enters Saturday’s matchup undefeated in Big 12 play.

Saturday’s showdown wraps up a tough stretch in BU’s schedule, which has featured its opponents combining to go 32-11 and 15-6 in league play. Against Big 12 teams, the schedule the first eight weeks has featured a 12-3 record, with three ranked opponents and four of BU's first seven foes ranked or receiving votes in the latest polls. 

🏈: Breaking Down The Matchup

🔼 Block Party. This weekend, the Miami Heat learned something that we all knew.

Driving past Yves Missi isn’t for the faint of heart.

In Sunday’s preseason matchup, Missi went to work in the paint, blocking four shots in just 15 minutes of action.

In New Orleans three preseason games, the former Bear has racked up 16 points, nine rebounds, six blocks and three steals in 50 total minutes of action.

🔼 Poll Position. On Monday, it was the men’s squad.

On Tuesday, the women’s squad was the one earning some praise.

Baylor gained some preseason recognition as the Bears were slotted #12 in the first Associated Press poll of the season. Giving the Green & Gold both hoops program ranked in the top-15 entering the 2024-25 campaign.
