🔼 Headed To Houston. When you play in a conference that features five nationally-ranked teams, each and every game is a battle.

Tonight is no different as the No. 23 Baylor volleyball squad hits the road for a short drive to Houston to battle the Cougars in a mid-week Big 12 showdown.

The two programs have a history that dates back to the 1970s, but its the first year that the Bears have played in Houston since 2021.

🔼 Three’s Company. On Monday, it was the Big 12 accolades.

On Tuesday, it was the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

A trio of Bears, redshirt junior quarterback Sawyer Robertson, redshirt junior wide receiver Josh Cameron and redshirt freshman running back Bryson Washington were recognized by the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award for their performances in Week Eight against Texas Tech.

Robertson was named the award's player of the week, while Cameron and Washington were each named to the honorable mention list.

🔼 Showin’ Out. It was quite a week for the Baylor men’s tennis squad against the best in Texas.

The competition wrapped up on Tuesday after a six-day stretch of high-level action at the Hurd Tennis Center for the ITA Texas Regionals.

Doubles pair Luc Koenig and Imran Daniel Hazli went 4-1 on the week. The pair, having never played together prior to the Regional, proved to find success after capitalizing on a win against No. 57 duo Arthus De La Bassetiere and Kabeer Kapasi of Rice in the semifinals, 3-6, 6-2, 10-4, to advance to the finals. The pair was just one win away from earning a bid to the NCAA Individual Championships.

On the singles side, Zsombor Velcz led the Bears in the main draw, going 5-1 and finishing in third place out of the 108-player field. During the week, No.4 seed Velcz defeated two ranked Longhorns, #124 Lucas Brown 6-3, 6-3 and #17 JC Roddick 6-1, 6-2. His take down of the No. 17 player in the nation claimed his third-place finish.
