On today's episode we recap Baylor Football's Homecoming win against
Oklahoma State which marked the Bears first Big 12 home win since the 2022 season.

🔼 Jonesin’ For Tackles. Veteran linebacker Matt Jones knows that his time playing collegiate football is coming to an end. The Odessa, Texas native is making sure to make the most of every time he steps on the field.

In his last Homecoming game at Baylor, Jones was a dominant force, racking up 12 tackles in Baylor’s 38-28 win over Oklahoma State. He had three TFLs, a sack and a forced fumble to prevent an OSU touchdown.
 
With his performance, he moved into a tie for seventh place on Baylor's all-time tackles for loss leaderboard with 34.0 career TFLs, matching him with the legendary Mike Singletary.

🔼 Preseason Praise. Every college basketball season, we hear analysts from all over talk about the importance of guard play.

For both Baylor hoops squads, they’ve got some talented veterans leading the way in that category.

This week, those vets were lauded with some preseason praise as Jeremy Roach was named to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Watch List, while Sarah Andrews was once again named to the Naismith Trophy Watch List.

🔼 He’ll Take That. The young Houston Texans sit at 6-2 through the first eight weeks of the NFL season and have a comfortable two game lead in the AFC South division.

On Sunday, the Texans relied on their defense in a critical division win, a defense which was led by former BU star Jalen Pitre.

Pitre has played and started every game this season for Houston and on Sunday, he picked up his first INT of the season and first since his 2022 rookie campaign.
