🔼 Like A Hawk. Baylor kicker Connor Hawkins was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking a game-winning 53-yard field goal against Kansas State. He also hit a 30-yard field goal and was a perfect 3-of-3 on extra points. This marks Baylor’s third Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week award this season.

🔼 Winner, Winner. Baylor men’s tennis had a successful weekend at the Big 12–SEC Challenge, highlighted by Connor Van Schalkwyk’s perfect singles record and tournament championship. The Bears secured seven singles victories and two doubles wins against top competition from Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Arizona.

🔼 Morning Football. Baylor football will play at TCU on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. The game will broadcast on ESPN2 and the Baylor Sports Media Network.

🔼 Started With Pancakes. Former Baylor women’s tennis star Taylor Ormond will be inducted into the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame next month. Ormond, who played for Baylor from 2008 to 2011, earned All-Big 12 honors and led her team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances. After her tennis career, she pursued a law degree and is currently an Agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
