🔺 It’s Coming. BU Hoops tips off in just one week. ONE WEEK!!!!!

The women’s squad gets us started next Monday right here in Waco against Southern at 7 pm, while the men’s team hits the court on Tuesday in South Dakota, when they take on Auburn.

🔺 The Big Stage. There’s no bigger stage in baseball than the World Series.

Former Bear Cody Bradford took center stage on Friday night as the southpaw made his World Series debut for the Texas Rangers, tossing a scoreless inning of relief in Texas’ Game 1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Bradford, who is in his rookie season in the MLB, has pitched in four playoff games, allowing just one run in 6.2 innings of work.

The Rangers and Diamondbacks are tied at 1-1 as the best-of-seven series heads to Arizona for the next three games, beginning on Monday night.

🔺 Bounce Back Time. Resiliency will be put to the test for the Baylor football squad once again after the Bears Homecoming comeback fell just short.

Iowa State jumped out to a quick start during their trip to McLane, but the Green & Gold responded and made things interesting late in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Cyclones came away with the 30-18 victory.

Junior Monaray Baldwin continued his outstanding season with another 100 yard outing (117 on six receptions) and a TD.

🔺 Stopped Short. Anytime you accomplish something that hadn’t been done in five years, you’re moving in the right direction.

That’s what the BU futbol team did this fall, posting nine wins in 2023, the most since the 2018 season.

The Bears run in the Big 12 Tournament was stopped short as Cincinnati got a late goal to come away with a 3-2 victory after the Green & Gold had come back from an early 2-0 deficit.

🔺 Course Completed. Facing one of the toughest conference fields in the country, the BU cross country squads had strong showings at the 2023 Big 12 Championships in Ames over the weekend.

Ryan Hodge led the men’s team, while Hayden Gold and Jackie Addy both earned top-80 finishes to pace the women.

Oct. 30th Episode: Looking Back And Looking Ahead

On today’s show we recap Baylor’s 30-18 loss against Iowa State.

We hear from Dave Aranda, Bryson Jackson, Drake Dabney and Matt Campbell following the game.

We’ll look at the differences in the game and take a look around the Big 12 conference football standings.

In just the second game of the 2023-24 season, former Bear Royce O’Neale poured in 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Brooklyn’s showdown with the Dallas Mavericks.

His double-double on Friday night against the Mavs was Royce’s 15th career double-double. The most in a single-season by the former Bear is 4, which he tallied last year in his first year with the Nets.
