🔼 Hog Hunting. Winning players make winning plays and winning moments.

That’s exactly what the Baylor men’s basketball squad got on Saturday in Dallas with a clutch performance down the stretch to come away with a 72-67 victory over #16 Arkansas.

VJ Edgecombe had a balanced night with 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists, making three huge winning plays down the stretch to seal the win.

In total, five players scored in double figures for the Bears, led by senior guard Jayden Nunn with four 3-pointers and 16 points. Miami transfer Norchad Omier recorded his 69th -career double-double and first at Baylor with 15 points and 12 boards, while Jeremy Roach and Robert Wright had 13 and 10 points, respectively.

That night was Saturday for the Baylor volleyball program and Elise McGhee, who reeled off 17 kills to reach 1,000 career kills and lead the Bears to a seventh straight victory with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Cincinnati.

In addition, Lauren Briseño served her 81st ace, which made her No. 5 outright at Baylor for career rally-scoring service aces. She also led the squad in digs in the win with 17.

🔼 Ticket Punched. Later this month, the Hurd Tennis Center will be hosting the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.

Two members of the Baylor women’s squad punched their ticket to that event as Liubov Kostenko and Cristina Tiglea rolled through the weekend with a 4-0 record and picked up the ITA Sectional crown on Sunday.

By winning the title, the duo punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships, which begin next week in Waco.
