🔼  Three Takeaways. Head coach Dave Aranda spoke to the media on Monday to recap the bye week and preview Saturday’s matchup against No. 15 Utah. Jerry Hill gives his three takeaways:

1. One Of One: Tight end Michael Trigg was named a Mackey Award semifinalist and added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list this week. Coach Aranda compared Trigg to Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts, noting that he can block, catch, and be a universal player.

2. By Jove, I Think They’ve Got It: Baylor’s defense held UCF to 74 rushing yards. This performance is seen as a positive sign ahead of a challenging matchup against Utah’s unique run game.

3. Good Stories To Tell: Baylor football’s bible study has taken off! Michael Allen, Sawyer Robertson, and Matthew Klopfenstein baptized 10 teammates during the bye week. The team’s bible study group is growing and bringing teammates closer together.

🔼 Rockin’ Rookie. Baylor volleyball freshman Ksenia Rakhmanchik was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. She led Baylor to a 2-0 week with 33 kills, nine aces, and 46.5 points, including a standout performance against Utah with 18 kills and seven aces.

The 21st-ranked volleyball team will play at Kansas State tonight at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

🔼 Made The Cut. Baylor women’s golfer Yurang Li was named to the 2025-26 Annika Award Fall Watch List after winning two tournaments and finishing in the top two in three consecutive events. The Bears return to action in late January.
