📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Country Roads. This weekend, the Baylor football squad hits the country roads looking to accomplish a feat that hasn’t been done since 2021.
Winners of three straight, the Bears travel to Morgantown to battle West Virginia in a critical Big 12 showdown. A victory would give Baylor its first four-game win streak since the 2021 since, which ended in a Big 12 conference championship.
🔼 Triplin’ Up Thursday. Tuesdays are for tacos, Thursdays are for triplin’ up.
Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and Colorado transfer Aaronette Vonleh both recorded double-doubles and combined for 40 points to help the 17th -ranked Baylor women rout East Texas A&M, 104-55, at Foster Pavilion.
Bella Fontleroy, who went out with an ankle injury in the first two minutes of the Oregon game, knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Jada Walker and Yaya Felder scored 11 points apiece, giving Baylor five double-figure scorers, while senior point guard Sarah Andrews had nine points, eight assists and four steals.
🔼 Lace ‘Em Up. For the third time this fall, the Baylor cross country makes the 1.5 hour trip southeast to College Station to lace them up.
This time, the Bears have a further vision in mind as they look to earn a spot at the NCAA Championships when then South Central Regional commences at Texas A&M this morning.
The top two teams in each regional secure automatic bids to the championship. The first four regional individual finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team also secure an auto-bid to the championships.
If a team doesn't secure an automatic bid, it will have to rely on the NCAA DI Cross Country Subcommittee to select it as one of the 13 at-large teams.
Action kicks off this morning at 9 am.
