🔼  Something To Prove. Former walk-on defensive end Derek Turner was inducted into the 2025 Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame. Despite starting as a walk-on and facing challenges, Turner became a two-time All-Southwest Conference player and a key member of the 1985 team that set a school record for points allowed. He fondly remembers his time at Baylor.

🔼 Chasing A Championship. Two women’s tennis players will represent Baylor at the NCAA Individual Championships this week! Zuzanna Kubacha and Na Dong will compete as duo in doubles and they’ll compete in singles. The matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

A trio of Bears on the men’s tennis team will compete at the NCAA Individual Championships. Devin Badenhorst and Connor Van Schalkwyk will compete in singles, while Van Schalkwyk teams up with Zsomber Velcz in doubles.

🔼 Big Four. Baylor men’s tennis signed four student-athletes to the 2026 recruiting class: Radek Chodora, Matei Ene, Gordon Gallagher, and August Bröstrom Poulsen. Chodora and Ene boast international junior tournament wins, Gallagher ranks among the top-30 nationally, and Bröstrom Poulsen holds multiple Danish national-doubles championships.

🔼 Welcome Home. Baylor women’s golf signed three international talents: Paloma Ibarra from Mexico, Abigail May from Scotland, and Sofie Nooij from The Netherlands. The incoming class, joining for the 2026-27 season, brings experience and success, including tournament wins and high rankings. The trio is expected to make an immediate impact on the program, which is currently ranked No. 15.
