šŸ”¼ The Bowling Bears. The Baylor football team just added another game to their 2024 slate.

Playing in a place they had never won, the Bears once again lit up the scoreboard en route to a 49-35 victory over West Virginia in Morgantown. The win makes Baylor bowl eligible for the 12th time in the past 15 years.

Redshirt freshman running back Bryson Washington found pay dirt on four occasions for the second straight week, while piling up another 100+ yard outing, finishing with 123 yards on 18 carries, along with five catches for 59 yards.

Quarterback Sawyer Robertson threw for a career-high 329 yards, completing 26-of-36 and tossing TD passes of 22 yards to Washington, 43 to Josh Cameron and a beautiful 40-yarder to Monaray Baldwin

šŸ”¼ Cruisinā€™ To Victory. Facing off against one of the regionā€™s best mid-majors, the 17th-ranked Baylor women fought their way to a 65-42 defeat of the Crusaders from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday afternoon.

Three Bears reached double-figures with Bella Fontleroy (12 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 blocks), Yaya Felder (12 pts, 4 rebounds) and Sarah Andrews (11 pts, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals) leading the way.

šŸ”¼ Sunday Smiles. Thereā€™s starting fast and then thereā€™s what the Baylor menā€™s hoops squad did on Sunday night at Foster Pavilion.

Boosted by a pair of 17-0 first-half runs, the Bears built a double-digit lead in the first seven minutes, went up by 43 by the break and blew out a scrappy Tarleton squad, 104-41 to move to 3-1.

Cal transfer Jalen Celestine, who led six Baylor players in double figures with 20 points, made all three of his attempts from distance in the first 20 minutes and joined freshman VJ Edgecombe with 13 points.

Freshman Rob Wright finished one assist shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine assists, while Jayden Nunn scored his 1,000th collegiate point on the first of back-to-back 3-pointers and finished with 11 points. Josh Ojianwuna had 10 points and eight boards.

šŸ”¼ The Closer. Facing off against the NFLā€™s only remaining undefeated team and the reigning Super Bowl Champs, the Buffalo Bills called in their closer to seal the victory.

Former Baylor standout Terrel Bernard had a huge game on Sunday, racking up eight tackles, a sack, a pass deflection and most importantly, the game-clinching INT against Patrick Mahomes with just over a minute left. Itā€™s Bernardā€™s second INT of the season and fifth of his career.
