📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Titletown. All of college tennis will have their eyes on Waco this week as the Hurd Tennis Center is set to host the 2024 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, beginning today.
The individual championships, held separately from the spring team championships for the first of two years in a pilot program, will be streamed live on ESPN+. Action begins at the Hurd with the first round of singles on Tuesday morning while doubles starts on Wednesday morning. Each draw will advance one round per day, culminating in the crowning of champions on Sunday, November 24th .
The BU men's squad will be represented by Devin Badenhorst and Oskar Brostrom Poulsen in the singles draw and by two doubles parings in Marko Miladinovic/Poulsen and Zsombor Velcz/Badenhorst. Velcz is also the third alternate in the singles draw.
For the women's team, Cristina Tiglea and Luibov Kostenko will represent the Bears in the doubles draw after taking advantage of their final shot at qualification in the NCAA Central Sectional Championships.
🔼 Freaky Fast. Maybe Jimmy John’s should hire Bryson Washington because the BU standout running back is definitely freaky fast.
His 51-yard run for a TD on Saturday in Morgantown had him clocked at 21.2 mph, which is the top speed reached by any Division I player this past weekend.
