🔼 Red Alert. Red alert, red alert, bring out those brooms.

The 17th-ranked Baylor volleyball squad added another clean sweep to their resume, claiming the season series with Texas Tech by sweeping the Red Raiders for the second time this season, 3-0 (29-27, 25-18, 25-18).

Leading for the Bears were Elise McGhee (17 kills), Jackie Barrett Frazier (19 assists), and Lauren Briseño (12 digs) with Victoria Davis recording five blocks.

🔼 Clearing The Way. They may not be talked about too much, but there’s no doubt that the big fellas have been clearing the way for the Baylor football squad.

During the current four-game win streak, the Bears lead all power conference schools in yards and lead the country in points per game. Clearing the path for Sawyer Robertson, Bryson Washington and company has been the offensive line.

For their performance this past week in Morgantown, the OL was named the Big 12 Old Trapper Beef of The Week.

🔼 Sweet Tooth. Halloween may have been a few weeks ago, but a couple of Baylor standouts still have a sweet tooth.

Men’s tennis stars Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Doubles Championships in an absolute thriller on Wednesday night at Hurd Tennis Center.

The duo outlasted their competition, 7-5, 6-7 (3) and 10-8 to advance and set up a date with the Texas’ duo of Timo Legout and Lucas Brown.

First serve for the Round of 16 matchup is set for 2:30 at Hurd.

🔼 Mama, There Goes That Man Again. In the entire NFL, there was only one player who recorded a sack and an interception in Week 11.

That man was Baylor’s own Terrel Bernard, who helped seal the Bills’ thrilling 30-21 home victory over previously undefeated Kansas City. For his play, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

In the game, Bernard had eight tackles, a sack, and the interception at the end of the fourth quarter to seal it for Buffalo.

The former Bear has now won two player of the week awards, also earning one for Week 3 of 2023. This season, Bernard now has 57 total tackles with four tackles for loss and two interceptions.
