🔼 Viva, Las Vegas. Baylor men’s basketball is in Las Vegas for the Players Era Tournament this week! They’ll take on Creighton today at 1 p.m. on truTV. At the Players Era Championship, each group will be ranked first through fourth. After head-to-head results, seeding will be determined by total point differential in group play, followed by total points scored and then fewest points allowed. The top seed from each division will compete in the championship game, while the remaining teams will be slotted into third, fifth, and seventh place matchups based on final standings.

🔼  Deng’s Drive To Victory. Seventh-ranked Baylor women’s basketball defeated Davidson 74-72 in overtime. Yuting Deng scored a season-high 12 points, giving Baylor the lead with three seconds left in overtime. Kiersten Johnson recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, adding a career-high six blocks. Taliah Scott led the Bears with 22 points and added a season-high seven rebounds. They’ll return to Waco to host Louisiana Tech on Wednesday.

🔼 Second Half Slump. Baylor fell to Arizona 41-17 on the road, despite a three-point halftime lead. Arizona scored 27 unanswered points in the second half, capitalizing on Baylor turnovers and a missed field goal. Despite a strong first half, Baylor’s offense was shut down in the second.
