Bears Celebrate and Honor MLK

🐻 The Official Daily Newsletter For Baylor Athletics
Good Morning Baylor Fam. “If you can’t fly then run, If you can’t run then walk, If you can’t walk then crawl, But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, we pause to honor a man that moved our country and our society forward in so many ways.
As we celebrate victories, moments and stories in each and every Brew, let us remember those who helped pave the paths before us.
This morning, we hope you enjoy this mini-sized Baylor Brew. (Think of it as a single shot of the Bears.)
We’ll be back with your Venti-sized edition tomorrow.

📈 STOCK UP
🔺 Super Saturday. Sometimes, it’s not necessarily how pretty things are, it’s just about getting the W.
The grittiness of the Baylor men’s hoops squad and the electricity of Foster Pavilion helped the Bears grind out a 62-59 victory over Big 12 newcomer, Cincinnati on Saturday night in front of a nationally-televised audience.
Freshman Ja’Kobe Walter and redshirt sophomore Langston Love led the offensive attack with 14 points apiece.
🔺 Two-For-One Special. Always good to start of the season with a W, even better when you get two Ws on the same day to kick things off.
That’s what the 25th-ranked BU men’s tennis team did with a 6-1 win over Abilene Christian and a 7-0 sweep of Lamar on Saturday.
🔺 Off and Running (and throwing and jumping). Not a bad start to the season when program records fall in the opening meet.
That’s exactly what happened for the Baylor track & field squads who opened up their 2024 indoor season at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational at the new Fasken Indoor Track in College Station, Tex.
Alexis Brown and Gary Moore Jr. both set new records at the opening meet.
🔺 Save The Date. BU fans will get a first look at a new offense at the annual Green & Gold game and now, you can save a date for that first glimpse.
The annual Spring Game will be aired on ESPN+ on Saturday, April 20th.
🎥 BAYLOR+: FACE-TO-FACE
The 25th-ranked Baylor men’s tennis team is off to a 2-0 start and we’ve got all the insights on the upcoming in the latest Face-to-Face with head coach Michael Woodson.
