🔼 Brunchin’ With The Bears. After a 10-day layoff, the Baylor women’s hoops team returns to action this morning for one final tune-up before conference play arrives this Saturday in Lawrence.

Tipping off at 11 am at Foster Pavilion, the Bears welcome Utah Tech to town as BU is looking for its sixth straight victory.

In its seven home games so far this season (7-0), Baylor is averaging 86.9 ppg.

🏀: Previewing Today’s Matchup

🔼 He Is A Real (All) American. If they had entrance music for college football players, Josh Cameron may have to switch his up to a little old school Hulk Hogan theme.

On Tuesday, the redshirt junior earned his first-ever All-American accolade being named to the FWAA Second Team All-American squad as a punt returner.

One of the nation's most elite return men, Cameron led the Big 12 and ranked fourth nationally with 290 total punt return yards in 2024. He averaged 20.7 yards per return, highlighted by a career-best 73-yard return at Texas Tech to inside the 1-yard line.

🔼 Heart Of A Champion. While she may not be able to be on the court this year for the Bears due to injury, that’s not stopping Jana Van Gytenbeek from making an impact on her team.

That is one of the many traits that led Van Gytenbeek to being named a recipient of the Kay Yow Servant Leader Award on Tuesday.
 
The award, in its first year, honors student-athletes of great character who put the needs of others before their own, who uplift others and who do it with grace and humility. They are nominated by their coach and are people who exemplify Coach Yow's spirit and who reflect her resolve, grace, generosity and servant's heart.
