đŒ Embrace Waco. Freshman cross country and track & field runner Jack Sterrett praises Baylorâs Christian values and supportive community. He was introduced to the university when he was watching the menâs basketball teamâs 2021 NCAA Championship. Shortly after, Jackâs father, Dr. William Sterrett, was named Baylorâs Department Chair and Professor of Educational Leadership, moving the family from North Carolina to Waco. Despite initial challenges, including adjusting to the Texas heat and a demanding training schedule, Jack excelled in high school and earned a spot on Baylorâs team.
