šŸŽ™ NEW SIC ā€˜EM POD: SARAH ANDREWS

Every great team needs a leader, and thatā€™s what Sarah Andrews is for Baylor Womenā€™s Basketball.

From the time she was just 4-years-old, to being a top high school recruit in the country, Sarah Andrews has never been afraid of the competition on the court.

Now, in her senior season, Sarah couldnā€™t be more focused on the task at hand. Sarah Andrews is a winner, a leader, one of the most dangerous scorers in the country, and is the engine that makes Baylor Womenā€™s Basketball go.

šŸ“ˆ STOCK UP

šŸ”ŗ Case Of The Mondays. Sometimes, they just donā€™t fall.

Unfortunately for the BU women, the shots didnā€™t drop at the right time as the Bears battled one of the countryā€™s best teams to the wire, but fell to fourth-ranked Kansas State, 58-55, at Foster Pavilion on Monday night.

The Bears shot nearly 60-percent in the first half to build a lead over the Wildcats, but the second half was a different story as the Green & Gold connected on 6-of-26 from the field as K-State rallied for the win.

Bella Fontleroy (12 pts), Dre-Una Edwards (11 pts) and Aijha Blackwell (10 pts) led the offensive attack for BU.

šŸ”ŗ Connect Four. Itā€™s always a challenge when you tee it up against three of the best teams in the country.

Thatā€™s exactly what the BU womenā€™s golf squad did on Monday at the Spring Opener, the Match in the Desert at Superstition Mountain Golf Club.

Facing three top-25 teams, the Bears finished fourth overall behind a pair of top-10 individual finishes from Rosie Belsham and Ashleen Kaur.

šŸ”ŗ What Itā€™s Really About. While they may be in the beginning stages of preparation for the upcoming spring season, the Baylor baseball program took some time this past weekend and were reminded what itā€™s really all about.

The Bears got a special visit from Grey, a patient at Shriners Childrenā€™s Hospital. Grey met the guys, even got a few tips and enjoyed seeing Waco and the Ballpark. He will be BUā€™s team ambassador for the Shiners Childrenā€™s College Showdown tournament on Feb. 16-18 at Globe Life Ballpark in Arlington.

šŸ”ŗ Fast And The Furious. Bewareā€¦ the Bears are climbing.

The Green & Gold are off to a fast start on the track early in the indoor season and their performances have turned heads as the womenā€™s squad earned a spot in the top-20 in the first USTFCCCA national rankings of the season this week.
