🎥 BAYLOR+: MAN WITH A MESSAGE

Tweety Carter will forever be a Baylor legend
for what he accomplished on the court.

But now, he’s making an even greater impact as a coach and
mentor to the current Bears, no greater example than this
powerful chapel he delivered to the guys earlier this season.

🔼 Pretty In Pink. At this time of year, every game means a little more.

But even the heightened stakes don’t compare to the meaning behind this weekend’s Baylor women’s hoops game as they get set to host their annual Play4Kay Pink game this Saturday when the Cyclones of Iowa State come to town.

Fans are encouraged to join with the team and wear pink to honor those in their lives who have battled cancer.

🔼 Splittin’. As we mentioned earlier this week, the Baylor softball program isn’t backing down from anyone this season.

The Bears have had one of the toughest early season schedules of anyone and Thursday was no different as BU split a pair with Nevada and #17 Nebraska.

A thrilling 5-4 walk-off against the Wolfpack was followed by a hard-fought 4-1 loss to the Cornhuskers.

Shaylon Govan had three hits on the day, including her first long ball of the 2025 season.

🔼 Freaky Fast. As if his resume wasn’t loaded enough, Nathaniel Ezekiel continues to add to his storied career with the Baylor Track & Squad.

This past weekend, he became the first athlete in the NCAA this year to record a sub-45 time in the 400m, breaking the program indoor record with a time of 44.92. His mark ranks #1 in the NCAA and #2 in the world. In addition, it ranks #12 in all-time collegiate indoor 400m performances and he is the first African man to EVER break 45-seconds indoors.

That was just part of his astounding weekend that earned him the Big 12 Co-Men’s Athlete of the Week honor.

🎥 BAYLOR+: SOUTHPAW SITDOWN

Did you know that the current Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week
arrived at Baylor as a walk-on outfielder?

That’s the kind of knowledge you find out when you’re following the Sic ‘Em Pod, which features a sit-down with Ethan Calder, who kicked off the 2025 season in a major way, striking out 13 batters in Baylor’s season-opening win against Youngstown State.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

On Thursday, Shaylon Govan blasted her first HR of the 2025 season, in her two-plus seasons at Baylor, how many career long balls does she have?
