🎥 HOME GROWN

For senior guard Caden Powell, the journey has come full circle. After years of hard work, growth, and perseverance, the Waco native returns home for his final collegiate season with the Bears. This feature explores the sacrifices, support, and unwavering belief that shaped his path, and what it means for Powell to wear the green and gold in the city that raised him.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Stage Is Set. Baylor men’s basketball begins its postseason journey today. They’ll play 12-seed Arizona State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament today at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN+. The Bears own the 13-seed.

🔼 Double It. Baylor freshman Tounde Yessoufou earned Co-Big 12 Player of the Week and Co-Newcomer of the Week honors, averaging 23.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and a conference-leading 4.0 steals. He has broken Baylor’s freshman records for points and field goals.

🔼 Tuesday Tilt. Baylor baseball will host Sam Houston tonight at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+. It’s $2 Tuesday, so fans can enjoy $2 off tickets and $2 hot dogs, small sodas, and water. It’s also Bears & Boots Country Music Night! Wear your boots, tip your hat, and come out and watch Baylor baseball.

🔼 Headed Home Happy. The top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team defeated No. 4 Iona 281.030-266.045. Baylor led throughout the meet, securing victories in Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, and Toss events, and achieving perfect tens in Pyramid and Tumbling.

🔼 Baylor Connection. Caden Powell returned to Waco for his senior year after transferring from Wyoming and Rice. Despite injuries to key players, Powell has stepped up, averaging 6.8 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 65.2% from the field. His time at Baylor has emphasized his sense of purpose, and he hopes to play professional basketball before pursuing a career in mechanical engineering.
