🎥 HOME GROWN

For senior guard Caden Powell, the journey has come full circle. After years of hard work, growth, and perseverance, the Waco native returns home for his final collegiate season with the Bears. This feature explores the sacrifices, support, and unwavering belief that shaped his path, and what it means for Powell to wear the green and gold in the city that raised him.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Award Season. Baylor men’s basketball players Cameron Carr and Tounde Yessoufou received All-Big 12 honors. Carr earned All-Big 12 Third Team and All-Newcomer Team honors, while freshman guard Yessoufou received All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.

The Bears fell to Arizona State 83-79 in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament. Carr led the game with 25 points.

🔼 Clutch Cambree. Baylor softball’s Cambree Creager earned D1 Softball’s National Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant week, leading the Bears to a 4-0 record with a 0.49 ERA and 17 strikeouts. Creager’s impressive performances included a complete-game shutout and a crucial relief appearance to secure a series sweep against Iowa State.

🔼 Hats Off. Baylor baseball downed Sam Houston 13-5 on Country Music Night! The Bears hit three home runs and recorded 15 hits. Seven Baylor pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts, allowing only one walk.

🔼 Big-Time Player. Men’s tennis player Connor Van Schalkwyk earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors after going 3-0 against Rice and No. 1 Ohio State. He clinched the match against Rice and secured the first points for Baylor against Ohio State with a dominant win.

🔼 Sunshine Stretch. Baylor softball will spend the rest of the week in Florida! They’ll play Stetson in DeLand, Florida today at 5 p.m. on ESPN+. Afterwards, they’ll prepare for a three-game series at No. 22 UCF.
