🏀 THE BALL IS TIPPED

Go ahead and start faking that cough now… You’ve only got a few hours left.
For the 10th time in the past 11 years, the madness of March includes not one, but both Baylor hoops programs.
The Baylor men will start their NCAA tournament run this morning in Raleigh, N.C. (11:15 a.m., CBS) as a No. 9 seed against No. 8 seed Mississippi State.
The Baylor women will begin NCAA tournament play this afternoon (2:30 p.m., ESPNU) — their 21st straight appearance! — and for the first time, will get to do so at Foster Pavilion.
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Big 12 Pro Day Updates. While both hoops squad are looking to show out in the Big Dance, over a dozen football alums are showing out in a different way.
This week, 13 former Bears laced them up and put their best foot forward at the second annual Big 12 Pro Day hosted at The Star in Frisco.
Beginning on Tuesday and running through today, stars from all the Big 12 institutions are on hand to showcase their skills in front of professional organizations from around the NFL and around the world.

🔼 Raising The Bar. When you achieve something that has never been done before at a program like Baylor, you turn some heads.
That’s what Alexis Brown has done throughout her career and even more so this season as the veteran became the first-ever National Champion in the long jump for Baylor Track & Field.
With that on her resume, Brown was named the 2025 USTFCCCA Women’s South Central Region Field Athlete of the Year.
Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches following the conclusion of the 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Performances from both the NCAA Championships and the regular season were considered. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Brown made history as she became the first Baylor athlete (men or women) to win a national championship in the long jump event. At the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, Brown soared, breaking her own Baylor program record twice and the facility record with her gold-winning 22' 7.75" (6.90m) mark. Her championship-winning mark ranks tied for fourth in DI Indoor meet history, tied for seventh in all-time collegiate history, and tied for fifth in the World for this season.
