🎙️ STATE OF THE PROGRAM

In this State of the Program, Vice President and Director of Athletics Doug McNamee provides an inside look at Baylor Athletics heading into the 2026–2027 football season. He shares key updates on the direction and momentum of the "Fan First Era" and reflects on both the men’s and women’s basketball teams this past season. McNamee highlights the continued success across Baylor’s spring sports, emphasizing the department’s commitment to excellence, student-athlete development, and championship culture across all programs.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Big Three. Three Baylor student-athletes received All-Big 12 honors. Lauren Reid was named Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year and earned recognition on both the Fences and Flat teams. Morgan McCarthy and Lauren Jorgensen also received All-Big 12 honors.

The 10th-ranked equestrian team will compete at the Big 12 Championship this weekend. They’ll face No. 6 Oklahoma State in the semifinals today at 10 a.m.

🔼 Senior Celebration. No. 1 Baylor A&T will host No. 7 Duquesne tomorrow at 5 p.m. on ESPN+. The Bears are celebrating 14 seniors for Senior Day. There will be a baby race at halftime! Plus, post-meet autographs, Perfect 10 cards, and a retro Baylor can koozie.

🔼 Playing Host. Baylor track & field will host the Clyde Hart Classic this weekend, honoring the legendary coach who passed away in 2025. The meet will feature top athletes, including Olympians, and will include a video tribute to Coach Hart. The event will begin with field events at 11 a.m. both days, followed by running events in the afternoon.

🔼 Headed West. Baylor softball is on the road for a third-straight ranked series. They’ll play at No. 13 Arizona, starting tonight at 8 p.m. All three games will stream on ESPN+.

🔼  H-Town Bound. Baylor baseball will play at Houston for a three-game Big 12 series this weekend. They’ll begin the series tonight at 6:30 p.m. and continue tomorrow and Sunday at 1 p.m., with all three games streaming on ESPN+.
