🎙️ STATE OF THE PROGRAM

In this State of the Program, Vice President and Director of Athletics Doug McNamee provides an inside look at Baylor Athletics heading into the 2026–2027 football season. He shares key updates on the direction and momentum of the "Fan First Era" and reflects on both the men’s and women’s basketball teams this past season. McNamee highlights the continued success across Baylor’s spring sports, emphasizing the department’s commitment to excellence, student-athlete development, and championship culture across all programs.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Houston, We Have No Problems. Baylor baseball took care of business at Houston this weekend, taking the series from the Cougars. The Bears won 6-2 on Friday, led by Tyce Armstrong’s two home runs. They picked up a 10-3 win on Saturday as the Bears put together one of their most complete performances of the season. The sweep was completed by a 14-7 win on Sunday as the Bears recorded 13 hits.

🔼 Senior Night Success. The top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team defeated No. 9 Duquesne 278.300 - 255.030, extending their winning streak to 58. Baylor led throughout the meet, winning four of the five events, with standout performances in the Acro and Pyramid events. The Bears debuted a new pyramid in the Open Pyramid heat.

🔼 1, 2, 3, Go. Baylor pole vaulters Molly Haywood, Tenly Kuhn, and Alencia Lentz finished 1-2-3 at the Clyde Hart Classic. Janae De Gannes led the long jump until the final jump, finishing second with a season-best. The Bears swept the 4×100 relays to start day two of the meet. Plus, the men’s 4×400 “B” relay team won.
