🔼 Nine Is Fine. It was truly a team effort on Tuesday night at Baylor Ballpark.

A dominating night on the mound and timely offense led the Bears to a 9-1 victory over Houston Christian for a third straight victory for BU.

On the mound, it was an all-around effort to secure the win with six arms combining to allow just one run without walking a batter and striking out 11. Redshirt senior right-hander Cole Stasio led the way out of the bullpen after redshirt sophomore southpaw Caleb Jameson's solid start, tying a career best with four punchouts. Junior righty Grayson Murry also shined in relief, fanning a career-high three batters in a scoreless frames.

Offensively, the Bears were firing on all cylinders, sparked by long balls from middle infielders redshirt sophomore Travis Sanders and senior Tyriq Kemp. The duo of Sanders and Kemp has now homered a combined six times in BU's last three games, as both have recently had multi-home run performances.

Three BU hitters collected multi-hit performances, including Sanders, senior catcher Cortlan Castle and redshirt designated hitter Hunter Simmons, who went 4-for-4 to match his career best.

🔼 No Runs For You. The Baylor softball team continued its strong play of late, rolling to a shutout victory over visiting Texas State, 6-0. With the win, the Bears have now won eight of their past 10 games.

Lillie Walker set the tone from the jump, setting down the first 10 batters of the game for BU, finishing with five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four.

Offensively, the Bears put up back-to-back three run innings to start the game, jump started by a historic walk by Shaylon Govan, who set a new program record with her 134th base on balls.

Brooklyn Carter and Turiya Coleman each had two hits to lead the 10-hit offensive attack for BU.

It’s Championship Week for the Baylor men’s golf team.

Joining the Sic ‘Em Pod this week to talk about the season so far and what lies ahead is head coach Mike McGraw, who is now in his 11th season at BU.
