🎥 BAYLOR+: THE SIC ‘EM POD

The Baylor women’s tennis team is headed back to
the NCAA Tournament after a stellar spring season, which included a
top-25 ranking for much of the year.

Helping lead the Bears has been new transfer Kennedy Gibbs, a Texas native who returned to her home state after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Purdue.

This week, Kennedy stopped by the Sic ‘Em Pod to talk about her journey and what
it means to be a part of the Baylor program.

🔼 Mastering The Midweek. For the 15th time in 16 chances this spring, the Baylor baseball team mastered the midweek challenge, rolling past Sam Houston State, 15-4, on Tuesday night for their 28th victory of the sason.

The Bears racked up 14 strikeouts on the mound, matching their season-high, while four Bears drove in at least two runs in redshirt sophomore infielder Travis Sanders, senior infielder Tyriq Kemp, redshirt sophomore outfielder Gavin Brzozowski and redshirt freshman first baseman John Youens.

🔼 He’s Bacckkk. Former Baylor standout Nick Loftin is back in the bigs.

On Sunday, the Kansas City Royals called up Loftin to join the MLB club after a red-hot start at Omaha (Triple-A), where he’s hitting .307 with nine extra-base hits and an on-base percentage of .485.

This is the third consecutive season that Loftin has reached the bigs after making his debut during the 2023 season.

🔼 Welcome To Waco. Another new face joined the Baylor men’s basketball family this week as Coach Drew and his staff announced the addition of their seventh transfer this offseason, with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi guard Isaac Williams heading to Waco.
 
In his one season with the Islanders, Williams averaged 10.8 points and 3.7 assists on 44% shooting across 19 games.
 
A three-star prospect by 247 Sports and On3, Williams finished second on the team last season in scoring as one of two players to average double figures while leading the Islanders in assists (71). In Southland Conference play, he upped his scoring to 11.6 points per game.

🏀 Get To Know Isaac

🔼 Fresh Face. Coming off a 28 win season last year, the Baylor women’s basketball program added a fresh face to the mix this week with the addition of SMU transfer Ella Brow.
 
The 5-foot-8 guard joins the Bears after three years on the Hilltop.
 
Playing an abbreviated 14-game season in 2024-25, Brow scored 6.1 points per game in 23.4 minutes on the court with three double-figure performances, including a career-high match of 14 points against Arkansas–Pine Bluff in November.
 
As a freshman, Brow made 10 starts in 25 games, scoring 4.6 points per game with 68 total assists, and earned AAC All-Freshman Team honors.
