🎥 BAYLOR+: THE CHASE
What’s it take to chase down #10?
What’s the focus and preparation like?
You’ve got your chance to find out as we dive into practice with the top-ranked A&T squad as it’s in the midst of chasing a 10th straight national championship.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top-20 Takedown. It was a matchup of two of the top-20 teams in the country on Thursday night in Orlando.
From the first serve, it was all Bears.
The 16th-ranked Baylor men’s tennis rolled past 17th-ranked UCF, 4-0, winning all but two sets in the entire match to extend their winning streak to four straight matches and five of the past six.

🔼 Riding High. Nothing like going out on top.
That’s exactly what Baylor equestrian senior Alexis Rutledge has done as she was named the Big 12 Horsemanship Co-Rider of the Month on Thursday.
Rutledge picked up honors in Horsemanship after an undefeated month, earning an MOP for her win vs. TCU. The Altoona, Iowa senior averaged a score of 71.75, highlighted by wins against two top-five opponents.
This rounds out a decorated season for Rutledge as she was recently named the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year and to the All-Big 12 team.

🔼 And another one. For the third straight day, the Baylor men’s hoops program added a big time transfer for the 2025-26 season.
Following up Wyoming transfer Obi Agbim and Oregon State transfer Michael Rataj, Coach Drew and staff welcomed veteran guard JJ White, who joins the Bears after a championship season at Omaha last year.
A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., White spent three years at Omaha, starting 74 of 98 games for the Mavericks, highlighted by a Summit League title and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2024-25.
Not only did the All-Summit League first-teamer lead the league in assists last year, he also finished second with a 2.2 assist-turnover ratio. He averaged 13.7 points, 4.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game for the year, shooting 49% from the field and 44% from three-point range.
Finishing the year with 14 games of 15+ points, White saved some of his biggest games for the biggest moments, highlighted by a 29-point, five-assist performance in the Summit League title game to punch Omaha's ticket to the big dance.

🔼 Eight Is Great. Eight weeks. Eight weeks of at least one weekly honor for the top-ranked Baylor A&T squad.
This week, it was the power pair of freshman Leavy McDonald and sophomore Payton Washington taking home national honors from the NCATA.
McDonald won Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this year, while Washington earned the Athlete of the Week for the fifth time.
