On this episode of Sic ’Em Podcast, we sit down with former Bear Abram Smith, whose journey at Baylor is one of the most unique in program history. From contributing to the team as a linebacker to becoming the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year at running back, Abram shares the mindset and resilience that fueled his unique college career. He reflects on the historic 2021 season and what it meant to help bring a Big 12 Championship back to Baylor.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Easter Weekend Win. Baylor baseball took the series from BYU with a 3-1 win on Saturday. Ethan Calder pitched six strong innings, allowing one run and striking out nine, while Ty Johnson provided the offensive spark with a two-run single. The win marks Baylor’s second consecutive Big 12 series win and the first time they’ve won back-to-back series since 2024.

🔼 All-Star Bears. Baylor senior women’s basketball players Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and Bella Fontleroy competed in the 2026 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game. Littlepage-Buggs recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Team Miller, while Fontleroy scored four points and had five assists for Team Lieberman, who won the game.

🔼 Beating The Best. Baylor track & field had a successful showing at the Texas Relays, with the women’s 4x200-meter relay squad setting a program record and Molly Haywood winning the pole vault. The men’s and women’s 4x400 relays also recorded season-best times.

🔼 Saturday Sweep. The ninth-ranked Baylor men’s tennis team defeated Midwestern State and BYU, both 4-0. Baylor secured the doubles point in both matches and won singles matches on Courts Four, Five, and Six against Midwestern State, and Courts Three, Five, and Four against BYU.

🔼 Senior Day Success. Baylor women’s tennis defeated Utah 4-3 in Saturday’s Senior Day match. Baylor secured the doubles point and won singles matches at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 to clinch the victory.
