🔼 VJ, Turn It Up. With hundreds of league executives, media and much more focused on every step, every shot, every movement, Baylor star VJ Edgecombe showed out, flashing speed, quickness, leap and plenty more at the first day at the NBA Draft Combine.

Currently, Edgecombe is a consensus top-10 pick with several mock drafts having him go as high as #3 overall.

🔼 Head of the Class. While we certainly enjoy celebrating success in the field of competition, the success in the classroom is what really counts.

On Tuesday, 29 Baylor student-athletes were honored for their academic success, being named to the 2025 Winter Academic All-Big 12 honorees.

The Bears had four women’s basketball student-athletes and 25 from equestrian that were honored.

Per the conference, to qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher either cumulative or over the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20% of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
