On this episode of the Sic ’Em Podcast, Baylor first baseman Tyce Armstrong joins the show to break down his historic season at Baylor University.

With the single-season home run record within reach, Armstrong reflects on his legendary three-grand-slam performance, his journey to Baylor, and the mindset behind one of the most dominant offensive seasons in program history. He also discusses the Bears’ push toward the Big 12 Conference Tournament and the team’s postseason goals beyond it.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Tourney Time. All the early morning workouts. All the extra drills. All of it has built up to this week for the Baylor Baseball team.

The Bears are set to open up play at the 2026 Big 12 Tournament with Baylor set to take on ninth-seeded BYU at 6:30 pm in Surprise, Ariz.

Baylor took two-of-three against the Cougars earlier this season in Waco with a 12-5 in the series opener and a 3-1 pitching duel victory in the series finale.

If the Bears win this evening, they would face top-seeded Kansas on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. CT in the tournament's quarterfinals.

🔼 Tyce As Nice. Even before stepping onto the field in Arizona, the Baylor Baseball squad already has plenty of hardware to bring home.

On Tuesday, redshirt senior first baseman Tyce Armstrong was named the 2026 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team to lead BU's six conference honors.

Redshirt junior shortstop Travis Sanders and fifth-year senior right-handed reliever Caleb Bunch secured spots on the All-Big 12 Second Team, while freshman right fielder Brady Janusek was tabbed to the All-Freshman Team. Redshirt junior right-handed starting pitcher Lucas Davenport rounded out the Bears' selections as an honorable mention pick.

🔼 Rising Up. The rest of the country has found out what Baylor fans watched all season long, Cameron Carr is the real deal.

After a dominant week at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, Carr has been listed as the biggest winner from the event and has moved into the conversation for a lottery pick in next month’s NBA Draft.

Carr has the potential to make it six straight years with a Bear selected in the top-20 in the NBA Draft.
