š¼ Punchinā Tickets. The road to the NCAA Championships start now.
On Thursday, the NCAA announced all the qualifiers for the first round of postseason action, the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Arkansas, set to take place from May 27-30.
Baylor earned a total of 26 bids by 23 athletes who will compete in 13 individual events along with three relays to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-13 at Hayward Field.āÆāÆThe menās team will send eight competitors, while the womenās team will send 15.
š¼ Viva Las Vegas. Pull out those calendars because youāre not going to want to miss this one.
On Thursday, ESPN announced Thursday the brackets for the 2026 Players Era Men's Championships, with Baylor men's basketball set to open the Players Era 16 Championship against Alabama on Nov. 24.
The Players Era 16 Championship is set for Tuesday-Saturday, Nov. 24-28, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Players Era 16 will culminate with a standalone championship game Saturday, Nov. 28, at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
In addition to the last two national champions, Florida, ranked No. 1 in ESPN.com's 2026-27 Way Too Early Top 25 Rankings, and Michigan (No. 3), the field includes Alabama (No. 8), Tennessee (No. 11), Houston (No. 12), Louisville (No. 15), Iowa State (No. 18), St. John's (No. 19), Miami (No. 21) and Gonzaga (No. 24). Overall, the 2026 field accounts for 27 NCAA Tournament appearances over the past two years.

š¼ Young Gun. This week, former Baylor men's basketball guard VJ Edgecombe earned a spot on the 2025-26 NBA All-Rookie First Team.
A native of Bimini, Bahamas, Edgecombe was one of three unanimous selections alongside Dallas Mavericks' Cooper Flagg and Charlotte Hornets' Kon Knueppel.
Taken third overall in the 2025 NBA Draft and Baylor's highest draft pick in program history, Edgecombe started all 75 games he appeared in and averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals. He shot 43.8 percent from 3-point range and ranked in the top three among rookies in points, field goals, 3-pointers, steals and minutes played.
š¼ Teeinā It Up. Returning three players with experience on the national stage, the Baylor women's golf team is making its sixth-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship and third in a row at the challenging La Costa Spa & Resort.
Part of the early wave off the No. 1 tee on the par-72 North Course, the Bears are paired with Ohio State and Eastern Michigan for this morning's opening round and will start with tee times at 8:52 a.m. CT (6:52 a.m. PT).
The field of 30 teams will be trimmed to 15 after Sunday's third round and match play is set to begin on Tuesday.
