🎥 BAYLOR+: TAKING FLIGHT
For Alexis Brown, every jump tells a story.
Of sacrifice, faith, strength, and the quiet moments few ever see. After winning
the NCAA Indoor Championship in long jump, her senior season isn’t just
about medals — it’s about finishing what she started.
As she prepares for one final push toward the Outdoor World Championship, this
is a portrait of a young woman leaping beyond limits, and chasing a dream that
has been years in the making. This is more than a season. It’s the
culmination of a legacy.

🔼 It’s A Family Affair. This August will be a quite special for the Jeffrey family.
It’ll be a family reunion of sorts as both Jay and Neal Jeffrey were named to the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2025 late last week. They will be among 10 inductees honored on August 5.
Both brothers are already members of the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame.
Neal was the first brother on campus in Waco and served as the QB for the Miracle on the Brazos game against Texas, you may have heard about that one.
In three seasons as a starter, Neal passed for 4,241 yards and 25 TDs.
Jay served as the starting quarterback of the 1980 and 1981 Baylor teams, including a school record (at the time) of 10 wins and #6 ranking in the country. He was a first team All-SWC honoree and the 1980 Newcomer of the Year.
In his two seasons in Waco, Jay finished with 2,739 yards passing and 17 passing TDs.
🔼 One Of A Kind. On a day where we are honoring the finest to serve our country, there’s no better time to recognize former Baylor standout, Lauren Briseño.
Last week, she was named to the 2025 Women’s U23 National Team, that was on top of her being chose for the Volleyball Nations League wide roster.
She is the ONLY player named to both rosters this year.

🔼 Among The Elite. 24 times this spring, Gabe Craig stepped to the mound. 22 of those times he walked away without allowing a run.
It was quite a season for the sixth-year reliever and late last week he was recognized as one of the country’s best, earning a spot as a semifinallist for the 2025 National Pitcher of the Year Award.
An All-Big 12 First Team selection, Craig is one of 16 semifinalists for the award, joining a group made up of players from nine different conferences.
Craig finished the 2025 season with a 3-0 record and earned 10 saves in 32 innings of work. He struck out 51 batters and walked just three, holding opponents to a .124 batting average. He led the country with a microscopic 0.56 ERA, a 0.50 WHIP and a 17:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
