🔼 Six Tickets, Please. The travel agents for the Baylor track & field program will be busy for the next few days. We’ve got trips to Oregon to plan.
In the first two days of the NCAA West Prelims in College Station, six different Bears punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships in Eugene next month.
On Wednesday, Igor Olaru became the only freshman in the entire country and the first ever in program history to advance to Oregon in the hammer throw.
Yesterday, the ladies hit the track and earned five tickets to Eugene.
The dynamic duo of Alexis Brown and Janae De Gannes got it started in the long jump, followed by clutch performances from Molly Haywood and Tenly Kuhn in the pole vault, and finally Ruth Kimeli closed things out with a ticket of her own in the 10,000m.
🔼 All-American Girl. Becoming an All-American is a prestigious honor for any collegiate student-athlete.
Achieving that distinction three times, that’s on another level.
Baylor softball’s Shaylon Govan did just that this week earning her third consecutive All-American accolade when she was named to the NFCA All-American third team.
Govan is just the second Bear to receive three-time All-American honors, joining Baylor Hall of Famer Brette Reagan as the only two to garner the honor three times. She is one of two honorees this year picking up a third All-American honor, joining Jordy Bahl from Nebraska.
A senior from Katy, Texas, Govan led BU with a .407 batting average, seven home runs and 28 RBIs. She led the Big 12 in batting average this season with a .453 average during conference play, which earned her the Big 12 Batting Champion honor. Govan also led the conference with her .587 on base percentage, marking her second-straight season leading the Big 12 in that statistical category.

🔼 Lights, Camera, Action. Start filling up your planners now, Baylor fans.
Baylor will open the season on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. on FOX vs. Auburn at McLane Stadium.
The Bears will then venture to face SMU, with a game time and TV info still to be announced for the game at 32,000-seat Gerald J. Ford Stadium on Sept. 6, with the 'Stangs coming off a College Football Playoff season in their debut in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

🎥 BAYLOR+: TAKING FLIGHT
For Alexis Brown, every jump tells a story.
Of sacrifice, faith, strength, and the quiet moments few ever see. After winning
the NCAA Indoor Championship in long jump, her senior season isn’t just
about medals — it’s about finishing what she started.
As she prepares for one final push toward the Outdoor World Championship, this
is a portrait of a young woman leaping beyond limits, and chasing a dream that
has been years in the making. This is more than a season. It’s the
culmination of a legacy.
🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA
