🔼 The Waiting Game. Looking for a fifth straight trip to the NCAA Championships, the Baylor women’s golf team must play the waiting game this morning at the NCAA Regionals in Norman, Okla.
Weather delayed the start of Tuesday’s third and final round, which resulted in darkness suspending the round for many teams who were still on the course.
Play was halted at 7:40 p.m. after BU finished its round and locked in its 3-over 867 score. Twelve shots clear of sixth-place Tulsa, who also finished, BU is 13 shots ahead of seventh-place Oregon State. The Beavers must make up those 13 shots over the final 11 total holes on Wednesday morning when play resumes at 9 a.m.
Barring a miracle finish by the Beavers, the Bears are in position to make five straight and seven of the last eight NCAA Championship fields.

🔼 The Big 3-0. Behind a nine-run third inning, Baylor baseball propelled past UTRGV, 10-7, Tuesday evening at Baylor Ballpark in Waco to collect win number 30 of the season.
Bolstered by three multi-hit performances and a grand slam from senior catcher Cortlan Castle, the Bears finished their midweek slate in style. Castle tied a career high with four RBIs, all coming on his second-career big fly – a third-inning grand slam.
Meanwhile, senior infielder Tyriq Kemp continued his breakout season with his fourth three-hit performance of the year and also drove in three runs.
On the mound, senior right-hander Caleb Bunch tallied his 10th scoreless appearance of the season, setting up for sixth-year senior closer Gabe Craig's ninth save of the year. Redshirt senior righty Cole Stasio earned the win after tossing two innings and allowing just one run with two strikeouts.
