On this episode of the Sic ’Em Podcast, Baylor first baseman Tyce Armstrong joins the show to break down his historic season at Baylor University. With the single-season home run record within reach, Armstrong reflects on his legendary three-grand-slam performance, his journey to Baylor, and the mindset behind one of the most dominant offensive seasons in program history. He also discusses the Bears’ push toward the Big 12 Conference Tournament and the team’s postseason goals beyond it.

šŸ“ˆ STOCK UP

šŸ”¼ Defend The Hurd. Baylor men’s tennis, ranked 11th nationally, will host Pepperdine in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 at the Hurd Tennis Center. Baylor, 17-2 at home this season, defeated Tulsa and Auburn to advance. The winner will face the winner of Texas and San Diego in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

šŸ”¼ Fell Short. Baylor softball fell to top-seeded Texas Tech 7-0 in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals yesterday. The Bears battled defensively, turning two double plays and limiting damage in key spots. Baylor will await its tournament fate when the field of 64 is announced on Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

šŸ”¼ One More Time. Baylor baseball plays at Baylor Ballpark one last time this weekend! They’ll host UCF, beginning tonight at 6:30 p.m. The first 250 fans will receive green capes, plus enjoy a meet and greet with Spiderman and Superman. Tomorrow’s game begins at 2 p.m., and the Bears will celebrate Senior Day before the game. The series will conclude on Mother’s Day at 1 p.m. with 150 fans receiving cookbooks crafted by the Bears.

šŸ”¼ Path Back Home. Baylor senior golfer Jonas Appel was selected for the NCAA Bryan Region. Appel, who has been a consistent top-two player for Baylor, carries a 73.12-stroke average into the regional. The top five teams and top two individuals not on advancing teams will advance to the NCAA Championship in Appel’s home state of California.
