As Baylor Football turns the page from spring practice, Head Coach Dave Aranda sits down with John Morris to reflect on the Bears’ progress heading into the 2026 season. Aranda discusses the team’s mindset, the impact of new coaches and players, and the importance of building strong relationships and culture as Baylor prepares for the summer and the upcoming season. Presented by Central National Bank.
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Punching Tickets. Baylor senior Tiriah Kelley tied the school record in the 100 meters and advanced to the NCAA Championship in the 100, 200, and 4x100 relay. Junior Serafima Lucero also advanced to the NCAA Championship in the 400-meter hurdles after missing last year’s meet due to injury. Additionally, the Baylor women’s travel party includes Logan Todorovich in the heptathlon, pole vaulters Molly Haywood and Tenly Kuhn, and long jumper Janae De Gannes.

🔼 Crown Them. Baylor junior Demario Prince qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championship with a 13.22-second 110-meter hurdles time. The men’s 4x400-meter relay team also advanced, finishing third in their heat. Baylor will send a total of 11 entries to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon.

🔼 New Opp. Baylor football will play a home-and-home series with Maryland in 2027 and 2028, replacing a canceled series with Oregon. The Bears’ 2027 schedule is complete, with conference games still to be assigned.

🔼 New Bears. Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore announced the addition of Jenny and Brad Fuller to the coaching staff. The couple, who previously led Northwestern State’s softball program, are known for their aggressive recruiting and skill development. They bring a wealth of experience, having achieved success at various coaching stops, including Pittsburg State and Northern State.
