🔼 Lacin’ Em Up. This is what it’s all about. This is why all the work was put in.
The NCAA Championships in Tracktown.
Today in Eugene, Oregon, the Baylor track & field squad hits the track for the first of four days at the NCAA Championship meet with the men kicking off the action with semifinal action on the track and final action in the field.
Entering the week, Baylor women are ranked fourth in the nation by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. This marks the highest ranking the BU women have been ranked ahead of the Championships. The women are the highest ranked Big 12 team, leading ahead of Texas Tech and BYU who are inside the top-10.

🔼 Show Stopper. All spring longer, the game was over when Gabe Craig took the mound for the Baylor baseball team.
On Tuesday, he was recognized as one of the country’s best, being named a Third Team All-American by Perfect Game.
Craig becomes BU's first All-American since 2021 and just the fourth Perfect Game honoree in program history.
Statistically one of the most dominant relievers in the country, Craig finished the 2025 season with a 3-0 record and earned 10 saves in 32 innings of work. He struck out 51 batters and walked just three, holding opponents to a .124 batting average. He led the nation with a microscopic 0.56 ERA, a 0.50 WHIP and a 17:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Craig also ranked second nationally in H/9 (3.66), third in BB/9 (0.84) and owned the fifth-best K/9 (14.34) among Division I relievers.

🔼 Regionally Recognized. It was an award-winning Tuesday for the Baylor tennis programs as the ITA announced its Regional Awards.
On the women’s side, Lenka Broosova was named Assistant Coach of the Year for the first time since Alison Ojeda earned the honor in 2015. Liubov Kostenko received the Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award, becoming the second Bear in as many years to earn the distinction. Na Dong was named Rookie of the Year, Baylor's first since 2008, and the team also took home the Community Service Award.
Baylor men's tennis trio of Devin Badenhorst, Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic all tabbed 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association DI Men's Texas Region Awards.
The Bears filled the Texas Region Award categories with Badenhorst being named the ITA Player to Watch for the second year in a row, Brostrom Poulsen receiving the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award and Miladinovic earning the ITA Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award.

Baylor football has revealed its 2025 Baylor football season opener vs. Auburn game theme as Blackout on the Brazos, the department announced Monday.
Blackout on the Brazos, a nod to last year's return of the anthracite jersey to the team apparel rotation and a 7 p.m. Friday night kick, reflects the excitement and anticipation for this way-too-early top-25 matchup on Aug. 29 at McLane Stadium.
This week one game will be the first time Baylor hosts a Southeastern Conference opponent as a Big 12 Conference member.
🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

As we mentioned, Gabe Craig is the first Baylor All-American named by Perfect Game since 2021.
