🎥 BAYLOR+: ONE LAST LEAP

For Alexis Brown, every jump told a story.

Of sacrifice, faith, strength, and the quiet moments few ever see. After winning
the NCAA Indoor Championship in long jump, her senior season wasn’t just
about medals — it was about finishing what she started.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Medalin’ Up. Clear off more space on the Alexis Brown’s mantle, she’s got more hardware to display.

Brown’s incredible and historic senior season came to a close on Thursday when she earned a bronze medal in the long jump. She was joined by Molly Haywood in the pole vault as both Bears earned First Team All-American accolades.

The two led for the women on Thursday, putting up 6.50 points, but the Bears did not qualify in any final advancing events to Saturday, concluding their 2025 season.

Brown's historic season came to a close with a third place finish in long jump. Brown was in contention for the title the entire event, being in second place up to the final jump with her best mark of 21-9.

In the pole vault, Haywood cleared her first two bars with ease on her first attempts both times. At the 14-6.75 mark, Haywood was unable to clear, but still earned a tie for eighth place and her second First Team All-American honor for back-to-back years.

🔼 All Paired Up. It’s an exciting time for Baylor hoops with big time expectations surrounding both programs heading into the 2025-26 season.

The schedules are rounding into form as both programs learned their Big 12 pairings this week.

🔼 Fresh Faces. Summer is in full swing and that means it’s grind time for the Baylor football program.

With high expectations heading into the upcoming 2025 season, the new faces of the Bears arrived on campus this week ready to hit the field and weight room in preparation for this fall.

🔼 And Another One. Earlier this week, we learned about former Baylor standouts Aaronette Vonleh and Caitlin Bickle signing on to join the brand new 3XBA league for Spokane Hoopfest later this month.

Let’s add a third former Bear to the mix as Alexis Prince locked up her spot for the event on Wednesday evening.

In Spokane, 3XBA is hosting a Pro Women’s FIBA 3x3 tournament at the largest 3-on-3 basketball event in the world. Hoopfest draws 250,000 people to the city of Spokane each year with over 6,000 teams playing on 425 courts, which span 45 city blocks. Hoopfest is a community event that goes beyond basketball.

Our 3XBA event will feature 32 of the most elite basketball players in the country competing in the official Olympic 3x3 format. The tournament serves as a FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Qualifier, and the winning roster will earn a bid to the Edmonton stop of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, August 1-2.
