🔼 Lone Star Duo. Baylor football had two Bears named the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Preseason Teams! Punter Palmer Williams was named to the first team, while linebacker Tavion Barnes was named to the second team.

🔼 Welcome Home. Former Baylor National Champion Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua is back in Waco! He has been hired as an assistant coach on the men’s basketball staff. New additions also include Jake Lindsey as assistant coach and general manager and associate head coach Jerome Tang.

🔼 Global Success. Baylor track & field members won three gold medals, one silver, and two bronze over the weekend. At the Jamaican Championships, Demario Prince won the 110-meter hurdles to earn a spot on the Jamaican team at the Commonwealth Games. Baylor signee Robert Miller won the 400-meter hurdles in the Jamaican U20 Championship to advance to the U20 World Championship. Senior Aren Spencer placed third in the 200-meters at the Barbados National Championships. Signee Rebekah Jhade-Garrett placed third in the 100-meter hurdles at the USA U20 Championships, then won the event at Nike Nationals in the high school division. Sophomore Janae De Gannes earned silver in the long jump at the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Championships.
