🔼 In Good Company. There are very few names and legacies like the Manning family in the game of football.
This summer, Baylor standout Sawyer Robertson will see them work up close as he was invited to be a counselor with The Manning Passing Academy later this month in Thibodaux, La.
Robertson, a native of Lubbock, Texas, will join the nation's top quarterbacks as counselors at The Manning Passing Academy on the campus of Nicholls State in late June. The Academy features some of the nation's top high school QBs, including 50 college QBs and 85 coaches, and an executive staff that includes Archie Manning, Cooper Manning, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound product of Lubbock Coronado High School, Robertson is coming off a splashing debut in his first season as a starter, where he quickly became one of the top QBs in the nation. He ranked fifth in college football in QBR, while throwing for 3,071 yards with 28 TDs and eight interceptions, completing 62.2 percent of his passes. He rushed for 230 yards and four TDs and owned the seventh-best passing efficiency rating (153.1) in program history.
🔼 Making The List. In the week prior to the final meet of the 2025 season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Baylor track & field's Alexis Brown and Nathaniel Ezekiel remain on the Bowerman Watch List.
This marks Ezekiel's sixth update in a row that the senior Nigerian has been represented while this is Brown's second update to be named. Overall, 27 athletes and 19 programs were represented on this year's women's watch lists, the most athletes in award history. On the men's side, 25 athletes and 20 programs were represented on this year's watch lists.
The Bowerman is bestowed to collegiate track & field's top male and female athlete for the year. The Bowerman Advisory Board, and ultimately, The Bowerman Voters, are instructed to consider performances inclusively from the collegiate indoor track & field and outdoor track & field seasons only.

Whenever the words “Hall of Fame” are involved, it’s something special.
On Monday afternoon, Baylor legend Robert Griffin III earned his spot among the elite as he was featured on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner, Griffin had a historic career for the Bears from 2008-11. He set or tied 54 school records, including 20 career marks, 26 single-season and eight single-game records, including career passing yards, total offense, completions and passing TDs. He was a consensus first-team All-American in 2011, helping lead the Bears to a No. 12 nationally ranking, which came after a 2010 season that saw BU advance to its first bowl game in 16 years.
Griffin boasts a bevy of awards from his Baylor career, in addition to the Heisman, including Big 12 Male Athlete of the year, the Davey O'Brien and Manning Awards, and freshman All-America honors in 2008. He was inducted into the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022 and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
A two-time academic All-American, a three-time dean's list selection and a 10-time academic honoree by the Big 12 Conference, Griffin graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science in 2010.
