⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 4️⃣6️⃣ DAYS
That’s right, we are just 4️⃣6️⃣ days away from kickoff of the 2025 season!

The year: 1956
The opponent: Rice
Picking up steam, the red-hot Bears rolled past long-time nemesis Rice, 4️⃣6️⃣-13 in Waco for their fourth straight win.
That victory earned national attention as Baylor was selected to play #2-ranked Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl, in which they went on to win 13-7 over the Volunteers.
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Country’s Finest. Former Baylor standout Avery Skinner continued to shine at the Volleyball Nations League in Arlington.
Skinner helped Team USA to a 4-1 record, leading the squad in scoring in three of the five matches, including a high of 22 points and 19 kills against Thailand.
The Americans earned a spot in the quarterfinals and will now face top-seeded Italy at the end of the month in Poland.

🔼 There He Goes Again. For the second time in a week, former Baylor star Nick Loftin played the role of hero for the Kansas City Royals.
To close out the first half of the MLB season, Loftin ripped an RBI single into left field on Sunday to bring home the game-winning run for the Royals in a 3-2 win over the Mets.

🔼 Call Incoming. It’s a dream they’ve had since they were old enough to pick up a baseball.
That dream could become a reality today as Baylor baseball’s Gabe Craig and Tyriq Kemp await their name being called in the 2025 MLB Draft.
After the first three rounds wrapped up yesterday in Atlanta, all 30 teams will make their selections for the fourth through 20th rounds today.
