Meet the Baylor football team at tonight’s Summer on Turner Plaza at Foster Pavilion from 6-8 p.m.

Go inside the film room with DJ Lagway as the new Baylor Football quarterback breaks down tape from his time with the Florida Gators.

In this Baylor+ exclusive, Lagway walks through key plays from previous seasons, explaining what he saw pre-snap, how he processed defenses in real time, and the lessons he’s bringing with him to Waco. From decision-making under pressure to reading coverages and extending plays, this is a rare look at the mindset and football IQ of Baylor’s newest signal-caller.

🔼 Simply The Best. The Baylor Line has been nominated for Best Walk-Out Tradition as part of USA Today Sports’ 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards! The Baylor Line sees all incoming first-year students rush the field at McLane Stadium to form a human tunnel before the team’s entrance. Each student wears a gold jersey that shows their graduation year and nickname on the back.

🔼 Meet The Bears. Baylor football will host Meet the Bears presented by McLane Children’s on Aug. 22 at the Allison Indoor Practice Facility. The free event starts at 1 p.m. and gives fans the opportunity to meet the 2026 Bears, collect autographs, and get ready for kickoff.

🔼 Academic Excellence. Baylor baseball has earned the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the 11th consecutive season! To earn the award, the team must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Bears posted a 3.46 cumulative GPA.
